Safety Net Supervisor

The Vacancy

We are looking for a Safety Net Supervisor working 35 hours per week who will be responsible for overseeing and supporting advocates in relation to the Safety Net service, ensuring a ‘no child turned away’ approach. 

You will be responsible for monitoring Safety Net referrals and activity, producing reports and working alongside Helpline management in the delivery of the national Safety Net. You will also be responsible for speaking to service users directly as part of the service, including providing direct advocacy & supporting the Helpline team with inbound contacts. In addition, you will contribute to service delivery via internal team meetings and other means as appropriate, as well as liaising with external organisations surrounding delivery and any associated barriers to advocacy.

This is a fantastic and exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate in playing a vital role in delivering a service which upholds the rights and entitlements to advocacy support for children, young people & care leavers across England.

In your application, you will need to evidence, using specific examples, how your skills and experience meet the criteria laid out in the person specification, within the job description attached. Requirements include:

  • Proficient in MS Office and database/software programmes
  • Ability to attain relevant information and relay concise messages accurately
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to encourage positive working relationships
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Ability to remain calm, confident and professional.
